Legs & Feet

Our tanks are built with different support structures including fabricated box legs, pipe or tubular support legs, side mounted support brackets and ribbed support structures. Most legs are supplied with adjustable feet with distribution pads which enable the tanks to be levelled on sloping floors.


To facilitate the tank's product remaining at a constant temperature while being stored, we also offer our clients insulation and cladding around the inner shell, which will also vary subject to the conditions that vessel is placed in, internally, externally, extreme heated process areas and extreme cooled process areas, this will in turn vary the thickness and the density of the cladded insulation used. This is a second skin around the inner shell and insulates the vessels contents from external conditions. The different types of cladding we offer and generally used are air, fibre glass, wool insulation or special insulation required for high process temperatures with varied densities.

If the temperature of the product in the vessel needs to be altered then, we are also able to manufacture heating or cooling jackets, known as dimple jackets which operate under high pressures or if this is not quick enough then we can offer a plate heat exchanger. The dimple jacket is welded to the external part of the inner shell. Steam, hot water, glycol and cold water can be pumped through the jacket at high pressures to increase the heat transfer from product to heating or cooling medium used in the jacket of the vessel. There are various dimple jacket configurations to cater for various pressure and flow conditions. Once the dimple jacket has been fitted then a pressure test is carried out to ensure that there are no leaks present.
